Wayne Clawater, the firm’s managing partner, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a B.B.A. He attended law school at the South Texas College of Law in Houston and graduated in 1981 with the highest honors.
After completing a year as a briefing attorney for the Supreme Court of Texas, Mr. Clawater joined Andrews & Kurth, eventually becoming a partner. Mr. Clawater has represented clients in lawsuits and proceedings involving personal injuries and commercial matters. His litigation experience includes hundreds of cases and many jury trials alleging medical and legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duties, workplace injuries, contract and energy-related disputes, and trade secrets violations.

For many years he has been a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates, an honor given to lawyers with extensive trial experience and whose legal and courtroom skills are recognized by their peers.
Mr. Clawater is President of the Board of Trustees, Christ Church Cathedral Endowment Fund and a member of the Board of Directors of John E.
