
Debra Elmore
Debra Elmore has represented healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases, pharmaceutical and device lawsuits throughout the state of Texas and across the country for over 20 years.
She joined Scott, Clawater & Houston initially in 1992 and rejoined the firm in 2018.
Prior to rejoining the firm, the focus of her practice was centered on privacy and cyber law, assisting clients on compliance with federal and state privacy law.
Ms. Elmore graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in pharmacy in 1982. She earned her law degree from the South Texas School of Law in 1992, where she served as assistant editor of the Law Review, was a member of the Order of the Lytae and was honored as one of the Who’s Who in Law School.
Debra Elmore has given numerous presentations on HIPAA, HITECH, and The Final Rule, and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association where she earned her certification in health care privacy compliance (CHPC).
